NY/NJ! Catch “CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON” in 3D at Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers, hosted by FANGO’s Ken Hanley!

While the world of horror has seen Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfmen and more monsters in the 21st Century, whether it be the artistic horror of PENNY DREADFUL or the big budget chaos of DRACULA UNTOLD and VAN HELSING. However, there is one monster that has yet the grace the big screen in the 21st Century, even among the remake cycle in Hollywood: CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. And while the return of the gill-man is inevitable, NY/NJ-based horror fans will have the chance to meet the Universal Monster once more as Mondo and Chiller will be presenting the fright flick at Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers.

Starring Richard Carlson, Julie Adams, Richard Denning, Antonio Moreno, Whit Bissell as well as Ben Chapman and Ricou Browning as “The Creature”, Jack Arnold’s film will be presented in 3D as intended and still creeps out audiences to this day. Furthermore, there will be an exclusive Mondo x Chiller giveaway at the screening, which will be hosted by none other than yours truly. Having recently dedicated an entire chapter of my satirical self-help book, THE I IN EVIL, to the Creature, this writer is excited to see the 60-plus-year-old film on the big screen, and who knows when the film will next screen in the area (especially in 3D)?
