NYC: Free Screening of “THE MULE” on November 24!

FANGORIA will be hosting a free screening of the explosive comedic thriller THE MULE—the latest from SAW/THE CONJURING co-creator Leigh Whannell—in New York City on Monday, November 24 at 7 p.m. This special showing will be held at the Cinema Village (22 East 12th Street, off University Place). Directed by Tony Mahony and Angus Sampson and inspired by a true story, THE MULE stars Hugo (THE MATRIX) Weaving, Angus (INSIDIOUS) Sampson, John (FRINGE) Noble, Ewen (DEAD EUROPE) Leslie and Whannell, who co-wrote the offbeat crime film with Sampson and Jaime Browne.

In 1983, a naive man with lethal narcotics hidden in his stomach is detained by Australian Federal Police. Alone and afraid, “the Mule” makes a desperate choice: to defy his bodily functions and withhold the evidence…literally. And by doing so becomes a “human time-bomb,” dragging cops, criminals, lawyers and his mother into his impossible escapade.

The Fango screening of THE MULE will be a free show; to obtain tickets, send an e-mail to fangoriascreening@gmail.com. You must list “THE MULE” as your subject line and provide us your full name. Offer is good for you and one guest. Names will be checked at the door. Offer is first come, first served, and we will confirm your rsvp. Seating is not guaranteed, however. This exclusive event is presented by our pals at XLrator Media, who released THE MULE to VOD and iTunes last week.

We pulled out these critical raves for THE MULE:

“Super fun. Really intense.”—Eric Vespe, Ain’t It Cool News

“A vibrant, blisteringly clever crime thriller!”—Stephen Saito, Moveablefest.com

“Very gross, very funny and very good!”—Evan Dickson, Bloody Disgusting

New Yorkers, mark your calendar to see THE MULE for yourselves on November 24 (Fango editor emeritus Tony Timpone will be hosting the show). Yet another great movie presented by Fangoria.com!
