NYC! Catch “DOG EAT DOG” with live Paul Schrader Q&A This Saturday!

For New York cinephiles, NYC’s Metrograph Theater has become one of the more notable rising film venues in the region, offering a ton of exciting and diverse films (most of which are featured in glorious 35mm). Appealing to outsiders with a calendar of mainly international, art house, and cult films, The Metrograph is currently cooking up something exceptionally worthwhile to cap off their October: a six-film Paul Schrader retrospective, kicking off with a double feature including his latest film, the Nic Cage-headlining DOG EAT DOG, as well as a Q&A with Schrader himself!

While Schrader’s genre fare is sadly absent, including CAT PEOPLE, WITCH HUNT, and DOMINION: PREQUEL TO THE EXORCIST, cult cinema fans shouldn’t miss the rare opportunity to catch these intense, provocative films on the big screen. From the shocking urban drama BLUE COLLAR to the off-the-wall crime thriller DOG EAT DOG (based on a novel from Eddie Bunker), Schrader die-hards will be elated by the Metrograph’s selection, as well as the chance to see Schrader in the flesh following the DOG EAT DOG screening on Saturday, October 29th.

If you’re not in NYC, don’t fret; you can check out DOG EAT DOG, which hits select theaters on November 4th and VOD on November 11th. You can find tickets and more information at the Metrograph’s website HERE, and stay tuned for more, including a Q&A with Schrader, here at FANGORIA.com!
