NY! This weekend’s Hudson Horror festival sets schedule

The New York area gets a big dose of 35mm horror on the big screen via the eighth Hudson Horror Show this weekend. The exact schedule has been announced, so read on for the details.

The full-day festival will be held this Saturday, November 16 at Poughkeepsie, NY’s Silver Cinemas South Hills 8 (1895 South Road). Doors open at noon, and the movies begin at 1 p.m.; here’s the lineup:

Movie #1: Denis Sanders’ INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS

Movie #2: Mystery horror film

Movie #3: Eugenio Martín’s HORROR EXPRESS

Movie #4: John Carpenter’s ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK

Movie #5: John Carpenter’s THE THING (pictured above)

The program also includes lots of vintage trailers and giveaways, and there will be a vendor room as well. The last Hudson Horror Show sold out and tickets for this one are selling fast, so pre-order them at the official website for $26; any tickets remaining on the day of the show will be available for $30 (cash only) at the door.
