NY! Fango’s Ken Hanley hosting “MIAMI CONNECTION” at Yonkers Drafthouse
As most cinephiles know, there are few theaters in America that provide as fulfilling of a moviegoing experience as the Alamo Drafthouse. Aside from co-hosting FANGORIA’s Graveyard Shift series with our own Michael Gingold, the Drafthouse location in Yonkers, NY has hosted myriad cult classics for theatrical engagements, and this Saturday, you can join staff contributor Ken Hanley for a special one-night screening of cult fascination MIAMI CONNECTION!
The Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, just north of Manhattan (2548 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY) will screen the film at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1st. Rediscovered by Drafthouse Films, and with its rerelease trailer cut by V/H/S/2 filmmaker Jason Eisener, MIAMI CONNECTION is a cult action film like no other, pitting cocaine-stealing ninjas against a seasoned group of Tae Kwon Do-proficient orphans. Did we mention that the orphans are also a popular Orlando rock group? It’s a fun piece of action trash cinema with a hilariously blood third act, and Fango’s own Ken Hanley will be on hand to introduce the film. You can buy advance tickets here.
