NY: Catch “KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS” in 35mm at Alamo Drafthouse with Fango’s Michael Gingold!
What could be better than watching William Shatner battle rampaging tarantulas on the big screen? The answer is nothing, and that opportunity is being offered by a FANGORIA-hosted screening at the New York-area Alamo Drafthouse Cinema later this month.
On Friday, August 22 at 10 p.m., the Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers, just north of Manhattan (2548 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY) will present a 35mm print of 1977’s cult favorite KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS, introduced by Fango’s Michael Gingold. The John “Bud” Cardos-helmed thriller casts Shatner as a Southwestern rancher who, along with a visiting entomologist played by Tiffany Bolling, discovers that the local tarantula population (played by 5,000 live arachnids) has started feeding on cattle and then humans. Don’t miss this opportunity to catch one of the all-time great nature-amok flicks as it was meant to be seen!
