New York Comic Con 2016: Actress Brianne Howey talks “THE EXORCIST”!

One of the true pleasant surprises in horror television this year, THE EXORCIST has proven to be as satisfying of a genre title as it is scary. While credit is due all around, from the FX to the scripts to the production value, THE EXORCIST wouldn’t play as effectively as it does without its top tier ensemble cast, which includes Geena Davis, Alan Ruck, Hannah Kasulka, and Brianne Howey. Howey has proven herself to be the true wild card of the series, with an emotional and mature performance that goes far beyond what one might expect from a sibling character. And at New York Comic Con 2016, FANGORIA spoke to Howey about the series, playing a narrative red herring, and what’s next for THE EXORCIST…

For those unfamiliar, here’s the official synopsis for THE EXORCIST series…

THE EXORCIST is a propulsive psychological thriller following two very different priests, the compassionate Father Ortega and the relentless Father Keane, tackling the Rance family’s case of horrifying demonic possession.

THE EXORCIST, starring Brianne Howey, airs every Friday night at 9:00 p.m. on FOX. Stay tuned for more on New York Comic Con and THE EXORCIST here at FANGORIA.com!
