New Artwork, Details: Vestron Video’s “C.H.U.D. II” and “RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3” Blu-rays!


As a proponent of Blu-ray collector culture, this writer feels ever closer to the finish line when it comes to the most desired horror titles in HD. While there are a select few essential hold-outs that are still not on Blu-ray anywhere in the world- films like WISHMASTER, THE BIRTHDAY, and THE MANGLER, for instance, the marketplace has done a phenomenal job of meeting the demands of the fervent horror fanbase. For instance, the recent inspired resurrection of Vestron Video, which is doing a saintly job of bringing campy cult classics to Blu-ray. Now, the boutique label is unveiling the new artwork and details for their final releases for 2016: C.H.U.D. II: BUD THE CHUD and RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3!

In terms of the former, the 1988 loose sequel to C.H.U.D. will feature a brand new HD transfer, and a slew of new supplemental material, including an Audio Commentary with Director David Irving and interviews with actors Gerrit Graham, Tricia Leigh Fisher, and FX artist Allan Apone. Meanwhile, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD III will include a new transfer of the 97-minute Unrated Cut, as well as two audio commentary tracks (one with director Brian Yuzna, the other with FX artist Tom Rainone and Actress Melinda Clarke), new interviews with Clarke, actor J. Trevor Edmond, production executive David Tripet, editor Chris Roth, FX artists Steve Johnson and Chris Nelson, and a conversational featurette with Yuzna and screenwriter John Penney.
