Naschy, Franco and more Spanish horror in 35mm at NYC’s Anthology in Oct./Nov.

Just in time for Halloween and continuing through the first week of November, New York City’s Anthology Film Archives (32 2nd Avenue) is hosting The Golden Age of Spanish Horror, offering the opportunity to see Paul Naschy, Jess Franco etc. on the big screen in glorious 35mm.

The series runs Wednesday, October 30-Sunday, November 10, and the schedule is as follows:

• León Klimovsky’s THE WEREWOLF VS. THE VAMPIRE WOMAN/LA NOCHE DE WALPURGIS (1970; pictured above), starring Naschy: Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3 at 9:15 p.m.

• Narciso Ibáñez Serrador’s THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED/LA RESIDENCIA (1969): Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 9:15 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m.

• Jorge Grau’s LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE (a.k.a. DON’T OPEN THE WINDOW and THE LIVING DEAD AT MANCHESTER MORGUE, 1974; in 16mm): Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7:15 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 8 at 9:15 p.m.

• Javier Aguirre’s COUNT DRACULA’S GREAT LOVE/EL GRAN AMOR DEL CONDE DRACULA (1972), starring Naschy: Thursday, Oct. 31 at 9:15 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:15 p.m.

• Jess Franco’s VENUS IN FURS (1969): Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:15 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 9:30 p.m.

• Franco’s THE DEMONS (1972): Friday, Nov. 1 at 9:15 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:15 p.m.

• Amando de Ossorio’s THE LORELEY’S GRASP (a.k.a. WHEN THE SCREAMING STOPS, 1976): Saturday, Nov. 2 at 5:15 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 4 at 9:15 p.m.

• De Ossorio’s NIGHT OF THE SEAGULLS (1975): Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 9:15 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

• Jose Ramon Larraz’s VAMPYRES (1974): Saturday, Nov. 2 at 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.
