Mile High Horror Film Festival ’15: “TALES OF HALLOWEEN” with Director Neil Marshall Q&A; “SHINING” & “DESCENT” Retrospectives Announced!

,,,

Over the last few weeks, FANGORIA has proudly informed fright fans of our exciting media partnership with the Mile High Horror Film Festival, announcing such top tier terror as a 30th Anniversary Screening of SILVER BULLET, Mile High’s LGBT in Horror Panel, a live edition of FANGORIA’s WE’LL SEE YOU IN HELL Podcast, a 30th Anniversary VHS Screening of RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD with Linnea Quigley Q&A, Mile High’s 90th Anniversary screening of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA with Ron Chaney Q&A and much more. Now, MHHFF ‘15 and FANGORIA are proud to exclusively announce a trifecta of must-see screenings that will jumpstart the Halloween Season at the festival, which is being held on Thursday, October 1st to Sunday, October 4th at Alamo Drafthouse in Littleton, Colorado.

FANGORIA and Mile High Horror Film Festival are extremely excited to announce the first confirmed contemporary screening of the event: the anticipated anthology TALES OF HALLOWEEN! Featuring segments from Neil Marshall (DOG SOLDIERS), Lucky McKee (MAY), Axelle Carolyn (SOULMATE), Mike Mendez (BIG ASS SPIDER!), Darren Lynn Bousman (REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA) and more, this petrifying production from Epic Pictures has taken the festival scene by storm and will make its Colorado Premiere at Mile High Horror Film Festival 2015! Even more exciting is that director Neil Marshall will be on hand with the film as well and taking part in a live post-screening Q&A!

However, that’s not all for fans of Neil Marshall, as Mile High Horror Film Festival will be hosting a 10th Anniversary Screening of THE DESCENT! A film that has truly been cemented as a contemporary classic of the genre, this claustrophobic commercial and critical darling will have a rare stateside revival courtesy of Mile High 2015 in time for the 10-year anniversary of its original UK theatrical bow. And even better for U.S. audiences is that this screening of THE DESCENT will be the original, unrated cut of the film, after which Marshall will be taking part in a Q&A!

Lastly, Mile High Horror Film Festival is paying tribute to one of the all-time unforgettable fright films this year with their 35th Anniversary Screening of Stanley Kubrick’s THE SHINING on 35mm, with cast members Joseph Turkel and Lisa & Louise Burns in attendance! The ghostly trio of THE SHINING will reunite in Littleton for the first time since wrapping production on the film over 3-and-½ decades ago, and will be on hand to participate in a fan Q&A as well as autograph sightings and photo-ops on Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd! It’s a very special occasion worthy of a very special film, so plan accordingly and come play with us…
