Magnet Releasing Dates Anthology Sequel, “V/H/S: VIRAL”in: News | July 8, 2014 - 9:34 am | by: Samuel Zimmerman | Comments Off on Magnet Releasing Dates Anthology Sequel, “V/H/S: VIRAL”
Magnolia Pictures/Magnet Releasing have officially set the date on which you can hit play on the third film in found footage anthology series, V/H/S: VIRAL.
Following the remarkable V/H/S/2, which featured Adam Wingard’s eye implant, Eduardo Sanchez & Gregg Hale’s clever first-person zombie piece, the remarkable “Safe Haven” from Gareth Evans and Timo Tjahjanto and Jason Eisener’s rowdy alien sleepover, V/H/S: VIRAL features an entirely new slate of contributors, with not even wraparound guides Wingard & Simon Barrett returning.
Instead, directors Nacho Vigalondo (TIMECRIMES), Marcel Sarmiento (ABCs OF DEATH segment “D is for Dogfight”), Gregg Bishop (THE BIRDS OF ANGER), Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (RESOLUTION) and Todd Lincoln (THE APPARITION) tell the stories of “a deranged illusionist who obtains a magical object of great power; a homemade machine that opens a door to a parallel world; teenage skaters that unwillingly become targets of a Mexican death cult ritual; and a sinister, shadowy organization that is tracking a serial killer. The segments are tied together by the story of a group of fame-obsessed teens following a violent car chase in LA that unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.”
V/H/S: VIRAL will hit On Demand October 23rd and Limited Theatrical Release on November 21st. For more, see the film’s first teaser below.
