Lucky McKee joins Indie Anthology “TALES OF HALLOWEEN”

,

In the wave of anthology projects that have hit from the indie scene following the likes of the V/H/S series and THE ABCs OF DEATH, one of the most anticipated projects for us here at FANGORIA is TALES OF HALLOWEEN. Featuring contributions from Neil Marshall, Mike Mendez, Axelle Carolyn, Darren Lynn Bousman and many more (including frequent FANGORIA contributor John Skipp), TALES OF HALLOWEEN previously was aiming to offer 11 tales centered around our most favored horrific holiday. However, this morning, Deadline announced that one more director would enter the mix, and it’d be none other than MAY director Lucky McKee!

A genuine Master of Horror, McKee adds some more prestige to an already impressive roster of filmmakers, having versatile films such as ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE and THE WOMAN among his latest big screen endeavors. Having personally seen behind the scenes photos from the project, TALES OF HALLOWEEN should really prove a great cinematic introduction for these filmmakers as a collective, dubbed ‘The October Society’ and backed by Epic Pictures’ Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson. And if the project lives up to the hype, genre fans may hope to see more TALES OF HALLOWEEN for future seasons of the witch. For more on the project, keep an eye peeled here at FANGORIA! Otherwise, you can see many of these filmmakers latest works elsewhere: Carolyn, Adam Gierasch, Andrew Kasch, Mendez, and McKee’s latest features are all on Netflix / Blu-ray / VOD, while you can see select Neil Marshall-helmed episodes of CONSTANTINE on NBC, and Darren Bousman’s DEVIL’S CARNIVAL: ALLELUIA aims to hit theaters/VOD later this year.
