Los Angeles! Free Screening of “FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN” this January!

FANGORIA is Hammer-ing in the New Year and, together with Millenium, giving horror fans a special treat. In celebration of FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN’s Blu-ray debut, FANGORIA is hosting a free screening at our regular Los Angeles hangout, the JumpCut Café this January.

Directed by Hammer legend Terence Fisher, and starring horror icon Peter Cushing, FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN sees “a tormented girl (Susan Denberg) drown herself after her lover is framed for her father’s murder and guillotined. Baron Frankenstein (Cushing), experimenting with the transfer of souls, places her lover’s soul into her body, bringing Christina back to life. With no memories of her past life, she becomes driven by a ghostly revenge and carries out a violent retribution on those responsible for both deaths.”

Seeing a Hammer film projected is always a delight, so soak up the Gothic air on January 11, 2014 with FANGORIA and the Jumpcut (13203 Ventura Blvd, Studio City). This is a free event and we’ll be there giving away tons of goodies including Hammer and Fango shirts, pins, magazines, Blu-rays and much, much more.

FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN hits Blu-ray from Hammer Films and Millenium Entertainment on  January 28, 2014, featuring a host of special features including a Commentary Featuring Derek Fowlds (“Johann”), Robert Morris (“Hans”) and Jonathan Rigby (Hammer Historian);  Frankenstein Created Woman Trailer; World of Hammer Episode “The Curse of Frankenstein”; World of Hammer Episode “Hammer Stars: Peter Cushing”; Brand New Documentary: “Hammer Glamour”; Animated Stills Gallery; and Exclusive Collectible Cards!
