L.A.! “DAY OF THE DEAD” Screening Free with Romero in honor of new Vinyl

DOTD_JACKET FOR ONE SHEET

Waxwork Records’ upcoming remastered and restored reissue of John Harrison’s DAY OF THE DEAD score is receiving something of a large coming out party. La-La Land Records, Creature Features and Waxwork will host a free screening of Romero’s beloved zombie film, with Romero, Harrison and Bub himself, actor Sherman Howard in attendance at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood on September 30.

Coming in 2xLP and 2-CD sets that will both be on sale ahead of their October 8th street date (CD, $20. Vinyl, $35), the DAY OF THE DEAD re-release features stunning Jay Shaw-artwork (above), Harrison notes, Romero notes and a recreation of “The Dead Walk!” newspaper article from the film—a package especially worthy of an evening out.

The screening starts at 7 p.m. Harrison, Romero and Sherman will all be signing, but only CDs and Vinyls purchased at the event. To obtain your free tickets, head to the La-La Land Records site, here. If you’re not in LA, pre-orders on the vinyl have begun at Waxwork Records, and Scream Factory released the film to Blu on September 17.
