KISS Founding Member Peter Criss Joins Texas Frightmare Weekend!

While former EIC Chris Alexander shared his love of KISS with FANGORIA readers almost as much as his love of horror, he certainly wasn’t alone in the bleedover audience between the rock supergroup and scare fare. And with that mutual adoration in mind, the FANGORA-sponsored Texas Frightmare Weekend has announced that they will be welcoming founding KISS member Peter Criss at their 2016 edition this Spring!

Attending from Friday, April 29th to Sunday, May 1st, Peter Criss will meet and greet with fans at the Southwest’s premiere horror convention in a rare  personal appearance. Criss is best known as the original drummer for KISS as well as the singer of the band’s massive hit single, “Beth,” as well as tracks such as “Black Diamond” and “Hard Luck Woman.” Furthermore, Criss’s Catman persona is among the most instantly recognizable in pop culture.

“After hosting an appearance by Ace Frehley at our 2014 event we’ve been flooded with requests to bring in Peter Criss,” says Texas Frightmare Weekend founder Loyd Cryer. “Our event has always been about fulfilling fans’ requests and we are honored that Peter has agreed to attend.”

Peter Criss will attend the event on all three days giving his fans plenty of opportunities for autographs, photos and more. Tickets and Premium Passes for the event, which is now entering it’s second decade, are available for purchase now at http://www.texasfrightmareweekend.com.

In attending Texas Frightmare Weekend, Criss joins an incredible roster of horror icons and performers, which currently includes Robert Englund (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET), George A. Romero (DAWN OF THE DEAD), Tony Todd (CANDYMAN), James Remar (THE WARRIORS), Kane Hodder (HATCHET), Lance Henriksen (ALIENS), John Carroll Lynch (AMERICAN HORROR STORY), Matthew Lillard (SCREAM), Danielle Harris (Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN), Katharine Isabelle (AMERICAN MARY), Heather Langenkamp (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET), Mitch Pileggi (THE X-FILES), Dick Warlock (HALLOWEEN II), Alex Winters (FREAKED) and many more.

Texas Frightmare Weekend, declared “Horror Convention of the Year” from iHorror.com in 2015, will once again host appearances, signings, screenings, parties, vendors and many more from April 29th to May 1st at the Hyatt Regency DFW in Texas.
