Jim Jarmusch’s “ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE” coming home in August; full details and art

The year’s coolest vampires are played by Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston in ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE, and you can invite them into your home on multiple video platforms this summer.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that Jim Jarmusch’s film will hit Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD August 19. Oscar winner Swinton (who discusses the movie here) plays the free-spirited, globetrotting bloodsucker Eve, while THE AVENGERS’ Hiddleston is Adam, who has shut himself up in his Detroit house. When Eve returns to him, their centuries-old romantic bliss is threatened by the arrival of Eve’s wild-child sister Ava (STOKER’s Mia Wasikowska). The discs’ anamorphic widescreen transfers will be accompanied by:

• “Traveling at Night with Jim Jarmusch”: A portrait of the director Jim Jarmusch at work on the film
• Deleted and extended scenes
• Yasmine Hamdan “Hal” extended music video

Retail prices are $30.99 for the DVD, $35.99 for the Blu-ray; see our ONLY LOVERS review here.
