Homegrown horror epic “THE DEMON’S ROOK” emerges this fallMovies/TV,News Michael Gingold
The DIY monster movie lives, breathes and kills in THE DEMON’S ROOK, which got a lot of attention on the festival circuit last year and is now poised for commercial release.
Fango got the word that Tribeca Film will debut THE DEMON’S ROOK on VOD and iTunes September 30. The supernatural frightfest is the brainchild of James Sizemore, who directed, scripted (with Akom Tidwell), produced (with cinematographer/editor Tim Reis) and handled the production and makeup FX design. The synopsis: “Chaos descends upon a quiet town when Roscoe, the pupil of a wizard monk from an ancient race of demons, unknowingly opens a portal that allows an unspeakable evil to travel freely into our world. When three grisly beasts cross into our dimension, the living are possessed and the dead rise to destroy everything in their path. Armed with demons’ magic, Roscoe is the only fighting chance to put an end to their eternal path of destruction.” See the trailer below and our review here, and for more info, visit the movie’s Tribeca Film page.
