“HIDDEN FOLK” to be revealed in new demonic thriller

There’s a particular chill in the air when supernatural evil descends on a Norwegian farm in HIDDEN FOLK, an upcoming film from a rising British horror director that’s set to shoot next summer.

Screen Daily reports that Johnny Kevorkian, who previously helmed THE DISAPPEARED and is part of the in-development BLOODY LONDON anthology (see story here), will direct HIDDEN FOLK from a screenplay by Stuart Wright (pictured above left with Kevorkian). It’s about an overprotective father trying to protect his teenage daughter from a shapeshifting demon, and is being produced by the UK’s Pinball Films with Petter Olsen of Norway’s Kindergarten Media co-producing. GAME OF THRONES’ Kristofer Hivju is being eyed to star; Pinball’s Ashley Horner will be pitching the movie at Haugesund’s Nordic Co-Production and Finance Market, which takes place August 20-21. You can see Wright and Kevorkian discussing the project at Norway’s Ramaskrik Horror Film Festival below.
