Here’s the drill: “SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE” awakens on Blu-ray


Another Roger Corman-produced classic is going hi-def as the satirical slasher flick THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE heads for its Blu-ray debut a little later this year. Details and the cover art can be found past the jump.

Shout! Factory has announced a March 18 release date for THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE on its Scream Factory label, featuring a new HD 1.78:1 widescreen transfer from the original camera negative with DTS-HD Master Audio. Directed by Amy Holden Jones from a script by Rita Mae Brown, the movie stars Michele Michaels, Robin Stille, Debra Deliso, Andree Honore, Gina Mari, Jennifer Meyers and Brinke Stevens as high-schoolers threatened by a madman (Michael Villela) wielding an enormous, Freudian portable power drill. Special features on the Blu-ray include:

• New interview with actor Rigg Kennedy

• Audio commentary by Jones, Villela and Deliso

• “Sleepless Nights: The Making of THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE”

• Theatrical trailer
