Grindhouse Releasing Brings “CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST” to the Big Screen this Month

One of the most harrowing big screen experiences you’re likely to have is heading on tour.

The great folks at Grindhouse Releasing are bringing CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, which is newly out on Blu-ray from the company, to theaters across the U.S. throughout October and November. Ruggero Deodato’s classic of transgressive, repulsive Italian horror is still a drastically upsetting film. Raw and confrontational, the story of a morally reprehensible doc crew pillaging Amazon tribes and being captured in the process is a strange, essential theatrical event for fans of the film.

Beginning this Friday, October 10, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST makes its way across the country. Find the full list of dates, as well as Grindhouse’s press release, below. For more, including theatrical dates for EVIL DEAD and Fulci’s THE BEYOND, visit Grindhouse Releasing.

Grindhouse Releasing brings director Ruggero Deodato’s notorious horror classic CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST back to the big screen starting this weekend at Landmark Theatres across the United States.

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST tells the story of four documentary filmmakers who experience brutal death at the hands of a savage South American tribe of flesh-eaters. The film is so intense, so graphic and so unflinching in its realism that the director and producer of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST were arrested on its original release and the film was seized.

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST was the direct inspiration for director Eli Roth’s new horror film THE GREEN INFERNO. The film stars Robert Kerman, Francesca Ciardi and Carl Gabriel Yorke. Moviegoers are warned: This is the original, uncut version of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST and its strong content may upset some viewers.
