Author, film critic, teacher, musician and filmmaker (not to mention failed boxer) Chris Alexander is the editor-in-chief of FANGORIA Magazine. He got his first professional break as the “Schizoid Cinephile” in the pages of Canadian horror film magazine RUE MORGUE before making the move to FANGO in 2007. Greg Lamberson’s “KILLER RACK” Locks World PremiereMovies/TV,News Chris Alexander No Comment
Buffalo’s Baron of Blood, Greg Lamberson (SLIME CITY MASSACRE) will premiere his latest microbudget shock comedy KILLER RACK (see GOREZONE #33) at Verona’s SCARE-A-CON this weekend. The film, a “screwball horror comedy” sees a put upon lass receive some evil plastic surgery via Dr. Kate Thulu (Debbie Rochon) only to emerge with a pair of carnivorous breasts. Subtle? No. Funny? Yes. Bloody? Hell yes!
The Scare-a-Con horror convention takes place at the Turning Stone casino resort in Verona, New York and KILLER RACK will screen on Friday, Sept. 11th at 5 p.m. and Saturday, September 12th at 3 p.m. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, and the film has been nominated for Best Feature, Best Actress (Jessica Zwolak) and Best Director (Gregory Lamberson). Zwolak and Lamberson are residents of Buffalo, as is screenwriter and co-producer Paul McGinnis.
In addition, KILLER RACK is an Official Selection at The Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival in Northern Ireland (Oct. 22nd) and Fright Night Theatre Film Festival in Hamilton, Ontario (Nov. 14th), and several festivals which have yet to publicly announce their lineups.
