“GODZILLA” and co. get a date for their sequel

With Gareth Edwards’ GODZILLA having recently passed the $200-million mark in U.S. boxoffice and $500 million worldwide, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have revealed when the follow-up film will stomp into theaters.

Variety reports that GODZILLA 2 will hit the screen hard on June 8, 2018. Edwards will be back to direct the new film, in which the Big G will be joined by other kaiju from the Toho stable, including Rodan, Mothra and (most exciting) King Ghidorah. Legendary and Universal Pictures have another giant-monster mash, the KING KONG prequel SKULL ISLAND, set for November 4, 2016.
