Get with FANGORIA Presents and Fango On Demand

FANGORIA.com isn’t the only thing that’s new.

There’s a ton going on here at Fango in the interest of being across the board, your frightening fix. Launching now (as in right now), besides all you see before you is our brand new DVD/Video on Demand line FANGORIA Presents, a team-up with Brainstorm Media (headed by THE AMERICAN SCREAM producer Meyer Shwarzstein) that will unleash five of the coolest little tales of terror from around the world.

The first two of which are available, you guessed it, right now. INHUMAN RESOURCES and AXED have both debuted on VOD (with the latter also currently on retail shelves), and both films are warped looks at the globe’s current financial turmoil, with Australia’s INHUMAN… a dive into office work hell and the UK’s AXED a cautionary look at what not to do with all that unemployed free time.

In the coming months, you can expect all manner of horror, from SIN REAPER’s slasher, to ENTITY’s supernatural jaunt into a Siberian forest, to GERM Z’s epidemic from outer space. After managing the previous FANGORIA FrightFest VOD/DVD label, FANGORIA’s Editor Emeritus and longstanding curator Tony Timpone is again onboard, supplementing the work of the killer Brainstorm Media bullpen.
FangpresTitles

And while everyone can find them on Demand, our readers with Comcast will note a very special place carved out for them. That is, a folder specifically tailored by and simply called ‘FANGORIA’, that will feature both our current FANGORIA PRESENTS films and a monthly, themed selection of studio repertory titles bearing the moniker FANGORIA’S VIDEOCRYPT, curated by esteemed programmer and producer Zack Carlson (co-producer of THE AMERICAN SCREAM, co-editor of Fantagraphics’ DESTROY ALL MOVIES!!!, contributor to Bleeding Skull and longtime Alamo Drafthouse programmer).

Considering we’d like this to be a destination for our audience, March’s VIDEOCRYPT kicks off with “Gory Getaways and Vicious Vacations.” Carlson writes, “If you somehow survive the stomach-churning intensity of Fangoria’s latest release AXED, then join us as we slash into 12 classic expeditions to the supernatural underbelly of the travel industry. From HOWLING 2’s Transylvanian she-wolves to England’s quaintly demonic DOLLS to the down-home southern comfort n’ cannibalism of MOTEL HELL, you’ll be having the time and/or end of your life on these Gory Getaways and Vicious Vacations!”

Here’s the full, fantastic roster of beloved mainstays and obscure treasures in our Comcast folder this month: AXED, DOLLS, THE BEAST WITHIN, BEYOND THE DOOR III, MOTEL HELL, HOWLING II: YOUR SISTER IS A WEREWOLF, THE BURNING, HIGHWAY TO HELL, SUPERBEAST, SLEEPAWAY CAMP III: TEENAGE WASTELAND, TROLL 2, ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU.

We really hope you find a lot to love and a lot to do with all that’s happening here, whether it’s our thorough, respected reviews and new columns like The Psychotronic Tourist, John Skipp’s Nightmare Royale and Kier-la Janisse’s School of Shock at the brand new FANGORIA.com, the introduction to fresh genre voices with FANGORIA Presents and the macabre delights of old favorites on FANGORIA’S VIDEOCRYPT .
