Get “RIGOR MORTIS” from “GRUDGE” creator this summer; date/venues announced


Takashi Shimizu, the filmmaker behind the JU-ON/GRUDGE franchise and other J-horrors, was a producer on a chiller called RIGOR MORTIS that’s seeing U.S. release next month. Read on for the details.

Directed by Juno Mak, who also produced with Shimizu, RIGOR MORTIS follows a washed-up, suicidal actor as he moves into an apartment building inhabited by supernatural creatures—and those who hunt them. The movie opens June 6 from Well Go USA at the following theaters:

• New York City: Village East
• Los Angeles: AMC Atlantic Time Square 14
• San Francisco: AMC Metreon
• San Diego: Gas Lamp 15
• Seattle: AMC Pacific Place 11
• Honolulu: Pearlrige West 16
