From the FANGORIA Vault: “DEMONS” & “DEMONS 2”

At this point, we over here at the FANGORIA vault have given up on trying to fight this bizarre weather. First, we had to thaw out the coffins after the polar vortex, not knowing we could use the ice when summer came earlier than expected. Now, the spring rain is finally catching up to us and we’ve got skeletal hands reaching out from the ground at us at every turn!

Luckily, none of the flooding has destroyed anything too valuable, outside of our spirits, and something especially sinister floated our way this week: rare stills from Lamberto Bava’s DEMONS and DEMONS 2! Two of Bava’s most defining films, DEMONS and DEMONS 2 both sport amazing practical SFX from Sergio Stivaletti and visuals inspired by Bava’s father, Mario, as well as the films of producer Dario Argento.

Followed by a Bava-helmed DEMONS 3 (a/k/a THE OGRE), the DEMONS films favor fun, living a dual life as contemporary Italian horror hits and as midnight movies for adoring audiences. These stills and behind-the-scenes photos leave us unable to deny the imagination and skill put towards making the DEMONS films as freaky as possible. So strap in and get infected by these pictures from DEMONS and DEMONS 2!
