From the FANGORIA Vault: “CONTAMINATION” (1980)

vault

FANGORIA continues to dig through our expansive archive for a taste of terror past! Today, we had the pleasure of uncovering some rare shots from Luigi Cozzi’s CONTAMINATION (aka ALIEN CONTAMINATION).

A bonafide video nasty that earns the title proudly, CONTAMINATION was put together as a rip-off in the vein of Ridley Scott’s ALIEN and contains some of the irreverence and gruesomeness that’s become all-too-familiar to Italian Horror of the ‘80s. Starring ZOMBIE alum Ian McCulloch, CONTAMINATION is a favorite amongst the horror die-hards, and should be on the to-watch list for any self-respecting gore-lover.

Check out the photos below, and you can read up further on CONTAMINATION star McCulloch’s experience in Italian zombie horror in both FANGORIA #328 and GOREZONE #28.

Awesome movie. Saw it on a double bill down in Miami Beach when it came out. Still a lot of fun, today.
