From the FANGORIA Vault: “Carrie”

FANGOVAULTFEAT

Hello again, FANGORIA fans! As we here at the FANGO Vault stumble upon corpse after corpse in our search for exciting rare photos to share with you all, the appearance of dusty skeletons in suits reminds me that prom season is also upon us! And as coincidence may have it, what else but the top dog of terrifying prom pictures would land on our lap, as we discovered some scary stills and photos from the production of Brian de Palma’s CARRIE!

One of the classic telekinetic horror films, this seminal Stephen King adaptation confirmed Brian de Palma as a force of filmmaking to be reckoned with while also putting many of its young, up-and-coming cast members on the map. CARRIE was instrumental in the horror renaissance of the ’70s, which paired exceptional and patient filmmakers with mature horror material to give a new perspective to the flourishing genre we love to this day. CARRIE has been ripped-off, parodied and homaged throughout the years, cementing its status as a cultural figurehead, and you can see these rare photos from the production below in all their bloody glory.
