First Photos: Cranston, Johnson and “GODZILLA”!

The King of Monsters returns. It’s felt a long road of tone trailers and posters since hype ramped up at San Diego Comic-Con this year, but just prior to tomorrow’s trailer debut, we’ve got an official look at the new Godzilla, who director Gareth Edwards (MONSTERS) calls “a force of nature, like the wrath of God…”

USA Today premiered the official stills from the upcoming latest in a long line of films featuring the most iconic of monsters. It may star Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, but we’re all undoubtedly most excited and curious to see the creature himself. And so here he is, pictured from above and through the goggles of what we can only assume is some sort of soldier.

Additionally, the site spoke with Edwards who briefly talks the expected monster mayhem. “I’ve just got a secret fantasy — well, it’s not very secret anymore — about living in a world where there’s fantastical things like giant creatures and what it would really be like and trying to take it seriously,” he says.
