First Look, Director Lineup: Vigalondo and More on Sequel, “V/H/S VIRAL”

As Sundance and SXSW came and went, many were left wondering where the expected third entry in found footage anthology series V/H/S might be. It’s headed to Cannes, as Epic Pictures will commence sales on the film at the annual market place, and with the announcement comes the first peer into who’s taking part.

Immediately striking is the lack of seeming V/H/S captains Adam Wingard & Simon Barrett (YOU’RE NEXT). In their place however is an intriguing roster including Gregg Bishop (DANCE OF THE DEAD), Todd Lincoln (THE APPARITION), Marcel Sarmiento (DEADGIRL, The ABC’s OF DEATH segment, “D for Dogfight”), RESOLUTION filmmakers Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead) and acclaimed TIMECRIMES director Nacho Vigalondo.

Screen Daily reports the official synopsis for the upcoming sequel reads, “V/H/S Viral focuses on fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.”  Bloody Disgusting and The Collective produce.
