In addition to the previously announced Álex de la Iglesia, Rodney Ascher and Bill Plympton, the talent assembled for THE ABCs OF DEATH 2 includes: indie horror icon Larry Fessenden, creator of THE LAST WINTER, WENDIGO and HABIT; SUICIDE CLUB and COLD FISH’s Sion Sono; France’s Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (INSIDE, LIVID); Vincenzo Natali, director of SPLICE, CUBE and the upcoming HAUNTER; twin auteurs Jen and Sylvia Soska of AMERICAN MARY; A LONELY PLACE TO DIE’s Julian Gilbey; Israel’s Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the duo behind RABIES and this year’s Tribeca highlight BIG BAD WOLVES; controversial Brazilian short filmmaker (NINJAS and LOVE FOR MOTHER ONLY) Dennison Ramalho, who also co-scripted the Coffin Joe flick EMBODIMENT OF EVIL; E.L. Katz, who helmed the SXSW breakout hit CHEAP THRILLS; Jerome Sable of the acclaimed short THE LEGEND OF BEAVER DAM and the upcoming feature STAGEFRIGHT; THE COLLECTOR and THE COLLECTION’s Marcus Dunstan; Lithuania’s Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper of VANISHING WAVES; Director’s Fortnight inductee Erik Matti of ON THE JOB and MAGIC TEMPLE); Lancelot Imasuen, the founder of Nigerian “Nollywood” cinema; and animator Robert Morgan, creator of the BAFTA Award-nominated short BOBBY YEAH.

“THE ABCs OF DEATH was a wildly ambitious anthology that connected with genre fans in a big way, and we’re all very excited about the potential for the sequel,” says Eamonn Bowles, president of Magnolia Pictures, which will release the sequel under the Magnet Releasing banner in 2014. “With talented producers Ant Timpson and Tim League and the incredible roster of directors assembled, we’re confident that ABCs of DEATH 2 will be even better than the first.” Todd Brown, Marc Walkow, Mitch Davis and Ted Geoghegan serve as associate producers; keep your eyes here for further updates!
