FANGORIA Podcast Network: “THE RANTS MACABRE” Is Green For Irish Horror!

With St. Patrick’s Day in their immediate future, THE RANTS MACABRE has decided to search for horror in the land of green, Ireland. And even though their selections of Irish scare fare is diverse, Darren & Mindy look for a cultural and stylistic continuity in each terror title, from the work of Bram Stoker to more recent wicked offerings.

On the latest installment of THE RANTS MACABRE, Darren & Mindy look at Bram Stoker’s writings (as well as the noted scribe’s personal history) before moving on to Ciaran Foy’s CITADEL, Ivan Kavanaugh’s THE CANAL, Conor McMahon’s FROM THE DARK and Jon Wright’s GRABBERS. Our horror hosts discuss the similarities and differences between the titles, how they may be influenced by their environment and why Ireland has been on such an indie horror hot streak.
