Falls Horror Fest Returns to Canada this June!


Last year, FANGORIA sponsored one of the biggest fan conventions in Ontario, Canada in the FALLS HORROR FEST, the macabre component of the NIAGARA FALLS COMIC-CON. This year, we are once again making our presence known at the now three day convention, going down at the Scotiabank Convention Center at the Niagara Falls Convention Center from June 6th – 8th, 2014.

This year sees a cavalcade of horror luminaries making appearances including HALLOWEEN’s Tyler Mane, FRIDAY THE 13th’s Derek Mears, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE III’s R.A. Mihailoff, FINAL DESTINATION and CANDYMAN legend Tony Todd, FX wizard Paul Jones, THE WALKING DEAD’s Chandler Riggs and many more.

Also attending will be the original, restored “Green Goblin” head that adorned the semi-truck in the Stephen King cult classic MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE and was featured in FANGORIA #327. FANGORIA and GOREZONE editor Chris Alexander will also be on hand with new and classic Fango issues.

The event will include over 150,000 square feet and outside of the horror component, will feature more than 200 comic book vendors, artists, free Q&A sessions, workshops, movie screenings, celebrities, memorabilia, movie cars, toys and more.  Celebrities confirmed to appear include:  William Shatner, Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Dean Cain (Lois and Clark: the New Adventures of Superman), Ernie Hudson, WWE wrestling legend Ric Flair, Kevin Sorbo, Luke Perry and Jason Priestley, Sylvester McCoy, STAR WARS actor Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), the first ever Canadian appearance of the cast of AMC’s Comic Book Men and Kevin Eastman, the original co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles .

Tickets are now available online, as well as at exclusive retail outlets across the Niagara Region, including:  Pulp Comics (Queen St., Niagara Falls); Mostly Comics (St. Paul Ave., St. Catharines); Seaway Mall (Niagara St. in Welland) and Big B Comics (Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls and Upper James St., Hamilton).

Advance single day tickets can be purchased for $25 each.  A 3 day deluxe pass is $60.  Children 10 and under are free.
