“EXETER” Cast Joins FANGORIA’s Free L.A. Screening on Wednesday

,

EXETER shocker’s hot young cast will be joining director Marcus Nispel (who brought you the FRIDAY THE 13TH and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE remakes) at next Wednesday’s free screening for our LA friends and fiends. The EXETER screening will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at Los Angeles’ Silent Movie Theater (611 North Fairfax Avenue; [323] 655-2510). The show starts at 6:30 p.m., and joining director Nispel will be THE UNINVITED’s Brittany Curran, FROM WITHIN’s Kelly Blatz, Michael Ormsby, GRACE’s Brett Dier, MALIGNANT’s Nick Nicotera and Nick Nordella. They’ll be plenty of fun photo opps, and paramedics will be on stand-by for any fright-related incidents.

Fango’s screening of EXETER will be a free show; to obtain tickets, send an e-mail to rebekah@fangoria.com. You must list “EXETER” as your subject line. Offer is good for you and one guest. Names will be checked at the door. Offer is first come, first served, and we will confirm your RSVP. Seating is not guaranteed, however, so arrive early. This special event is sponsored by our pals at Viva Pictures; EXETER will debut exclusively on DIRECTV this July.

For those unfamiliar, here’s the synopsis for EXETER…

During an all-night, drug-fueled party at an abandoned asylum known for the horrific treatment of its patients, a group of ordinary kids decide to experiment with the occult, mysteriously leading to a violent possession. In an effort to find help, the group rushes to escape, only to find themselves locked inside with no means of communication. Tempers flare, trusts are broken and in attempt to save one of their friends possessed by the demon, the amateurs try to perform an exorcism. Instead of solving the problem, and unbeknownst to them, they unleash an even more powerful and vengeful spirit, one with a distinct motive and which wants them all dead. The group’s only chance of survival is to uncover the asylum’s deep mysteries and find a way out before it’s too late. Their search for answers uncovers the asylum’s dark past and the terrible secrets that are harbored within its walls. What started as a harmless paranormal experiment turns into a fast paced bloody paranormal nightmare with unexpected consequences.
