Exclusive Video: FANGORIA goes to Wakaliwood!Books/Art/Culture,Movies/TV,News Fangoria Staff
In May 2015, Fangoria scribe David Bertrand made the brave/foolish decision to fly to “Wakaliwood”, Uganda – home of Ramon Film Productions, Uganda’s one and only DIY action film studio. Expecting to meet filmmaker Nabwana IGG and his armada of kung fu commandos (the team behind such incredible and insane action-packed, one-of-a-kind minor masterpieces of DIY cinema such as WHO KILLED CAPTAIN ALEX? UGANDA’S FIRST ACTION MOVIE) Bertrand discovered instead, to his delight and terror, that the Wakaliwood crew were preparing to film Uganda’s first horror film: EATEN ALIVE IN UGANDA.
Apparently, the shoot couldn’t begin until Fangoria arrived. No explanation why.
Bertrand was able to deliver a massive exposé (big enough for two issues!) on the Wakaliwood world takeover, EATEN ALIVE IN UGANDA, and its connection to the true history of cannibalism in Uganda before his sudden, unexplained disappearance. Just a few days ago, this video surfaced – the last known footage of our Fangoria contributor. His family remains hopeful for his safe return.
