Exclusive Stills: Sarah Butler returns in “I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 3: VENGEANCE IS MINE”

Continuing the legacy of one of the most controversial exploitation films of all time, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE (2010) was an understandably polarizing flick in the horror community. Some horror fans praised its decision to be just as nasty and gory (if not more so) than Meir Zarchi’s cult classic, while others felt that the property had no place in the realm of contemporary cinema. In any case, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE (2010) warranted enough good will to carry over into sequel territory, and will be continuing the 2010 film’s storyline with I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 3: VENGEANCE IS MINE, from which FANGORIA has exclusive new images!

For those unfamiliar, here’s the official synopsis for I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 3: VENGEANCE IS MINE…

Jennifer Hills (Sarah Butler) is still tormented by the brutal sexual assault she endured years ago (I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 2010). She’s changed identities and cities, reluctantly joining a support group where she begins to piece together a new life. But when her new friend’s murderer goes free and the tales of serial rapists haunt her, Jennifer will hunt down the men responsible and do what the system won’t – make them pay for their crimes in the most horrific ways imaginable. Only this time, no jury may be able to save her. Jennifer Landon (THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS), Doug McKeon (ON GOLDEN POND) and Gabriel Hogan (HEARTLAND) co-star in this unforgiving, unmerciful and uncut new chapter of one of the most notorious franchises in movie history.

I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 3: VENGEANCE IS MINE is directed by R.D. Braunstein (100 DEGREES BELOW ZERO), and will open in Los Angeles on October 9th before hitting DVD, Blu-ray and VOD on October 20th from Anchor Bay.
