Exclusive Premiere: First Artwork for “STITCHES” Producer’s Next, “THE LODGERS”

,

As fright fans know, ghost stories are among the oldest and most universal forms of horror. Coming in all shapes and sizes, horror fans from across the globe can tap into that fear of the unknown after death, which is one of the reasons why haunting horror has made its way into the pop culture zeitgeist as of late. And in the tradition of classic Gothic horror, FANGORIA has the first artwork for a ghost story from Tailored Films, the production company behind the popular killer clown flick STITCHES, entitled THE LODGERS.

THE LODGERS appears to have a much scarier tone than STITCHES, according to the official synopsis below:

The story centers around orphaned twins Rachel and Edward who share their crumbling stately home with unseen sinister forces – known as “The Lodgers” – who reside in the basement.  For peace to prevail, the twins must abide by three simple rules – but as they turn 18, Rachel decides to push the boundaries and explore the outside world.  Horrifying and disturbing consequences result for both twins, as they discover the truth about what The Lodgers have planned for them.

Written by musician and professor of Gothic literature, David Turpin, the film has been supported in development by the Irish Film Board, and is currently participating in Frontieres Film Market in Brussels as part of the “Seeking Director Spotlight” section, where the team at Tailored are excited to explore the international talent possibilities. The exclusive poster for THE LODGERS, designed by producer Julianne Ford, can be seen below. Check back here for more information on THE LODGERS as it comes…
