,

A new human hunt is hitting the screen in TURKEY SHOOT, a remake of the Australian survival shocker that won a cult following for its screen savagery. We’ve got some exclusive photos from the new version past the jump.

Opening Down Under this week from Potential Films, TURKEY SHOOT 2014 was produced by Antony I. Ginnane, who also shepherded the 1982 original (released Stateside in 1983 as ESCAPE 2000), and the first film’s director Brian Trenchard-Smith was one of the executive producers. The redux was helmed by genre veteran Jon Hewitt from a script he wrote with Belinda McClory, who also co-stars. The cast additionally includes Dominic Purcell (1st photo below, and 2nd photo with Ra Chapman) of PRISON BREAK and BLADE: TRINITY, Viva Bianca from TV’s SPARTACUS, Robert Taylor (3rd photo), Juan Jackson, Suzannah McDonald, Nicholas Hammond (yes, TV’s SPIDER-MAN himself!), Ian Roberts (pictured above), Sharelle Starr (4th photo) and Roger Ward (5th photo), also returning from the ’82 version.

The synopsis: “In the wake of a shocking civilian massacre in a foreign war zone, disgraced Navy SEAL Rick Tyler is sentenced to rot in a maximum security military prison until he is offered the opportunity to put his life on the line to win his freedom. A one-man force of nature, Tyler will have to take on and take down some of the world’s most ruthless killers in the some of the world’s most brutal locations to win the game, obtain his freedom, and find out why he was set up. The question is, can he accomplish all of this before Game On is Game Over?”
