Exclusive new trailer: Satanic madness in William Hellfire’s “UPSIDEDOWN CROSS”

The cure for “possession” may be worse than the affliction in UPSIDEDOWN CROSS, the latest from maverick filmmaker William Hellfire. We’ve got an exclusive peek at the latest trailer, plus the release details, past the jump.

UPSIDEDOWNCROSSEXCTRAILNEWSScripted by Hellfire and musician/B-movie maven Mike Hunchback, UPSIDEDOWN CROSS is coming on a limited-edition (1,000 copies) collector’s edition DVD February 23 from Independent Entertainment. The movie stars Erin Russ, David Yow of the alternative band The Jesus Lizard and the upcoming SOUTHBOUND, Colleen Cohan and BAD BIOLOGY’s Tina Krause; the synopsis: Nadine [Russ], a drug-addicted young prostitute in the throes of withdrawal, returns to her childhood home and the mother she ran away from. Nadine’s mother, Delilah [Cohan], is a delusional religious fanatic that believes demons have possessed her daughter. In search of a ‘cure’ for her daughter’s erratic behavior, she finds a rogue preacher [Yow] willing to exorcise the demons. But neither mother nor daughter recognize the true devil until it is too late!”

The disc will include a two-sided cover featuring original photography by Jackie Cerniglia, an illustrated Chick Tract comic by notorious underground comic artist Mike Diana and image galleries featuring photos and original illustrations inspired by UPSIDEDOWN CROSS. Retail price is $29.99, but it can be pre-ordered for $27.99 at its Alternative Cinema webpage.
