Exclusive info, pics, trailer: “FOUND” director’s erotic creature feature “HARVEST LAKE”

AMERICAN MARY’s Tristan Risk gets in over her head when she travels to HARVEST LAKE in the new feature by writer/director Scott Schirmer, of the award-winning FOUND. Read on for more details and an exclusive first look at some photos and the trailer.

HARVESTLAKEEXCTRAILERNEWS1A co-production of Forbidden Films and Mostly Harmless Pictures, HARVEST LAKE also stars Jason Crowe, Ellie Church, Dan Nye and Kevin Roach. Brian K. Williams produced the movie with Schirmer and also served as director of photographer and editor, while Arthur Cullipher, who helmed the FOUND follow-up HEADLESS (see story here), was associate producer and oversaw the makeup FX with his Clockwerk Creature Company. The synopsis: “A group of vacationing campers stumble under the spell of a libidinous, otherworldly presence in the woods. Inhibitions drop and behavior becomes erratic as one of the friends tries to escape the carnal freefall, ultimately bringing him face to face with the source of a mystery that will change his life forever.”

“It’s strange, it’s sexy and it’s creepy. I like that combination,” Schirmer says. “When you watch this movie, you wander into a sort of sexual Bermuda Triangle, and before you know it, you’re in an erotic creature feature.” The filmmaker plans to have HARVEST LAKE ready for the festival circuit next spring, and you can keep up with its progress at its Facebook page.
