Exclusive: genre-star-studded “TALES OF POE” to premiere in LAMovies/TV,News Michael Gingold
We can’t wait to see TALES OF POE, the stylistically ambitious anthology based on the work of the original master of horror and featuring a number of genre-fave actresses, and we just got the exclusive word about the movie’s high-profile first showing this summer.
TALES OF POE will have its world premiere August 20 at Los Angeles, CA’s historic American Cinematheque at Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre (6721 Hollywood Boulevard). Many of the cast and crew will be in attendance, along with other luminaries from the horror genre. That week, there will also be a TALES poster-signing event at Burbank’s horror bookstore Dark Delicacies (3512 West Magnolia Boulevard), and radio appearances by the film’s talent; a festival/theatrical tour for the movie will follow.
Produced by Mastropiece Productions and Southpaw Pictures, TALES OF POE consists of reinterpretations of three classic stories:
• “The Tell Tale Heart,” written and directed by Bart Mastronardi, starring Debbie Rochon (pictured above), Alan Rowe Kelly, Lesleh Donaldson and Desiree Gould
• “The Cask of Amontillado,” written and directed by Kelly, starring Randy Jones, Kelly, Brewster McCall and Zoe Daelman Chlanda
• “Dreams,” based on the Poe-m, directed by Mastronardi and adapted by Michael Varrati, starring Bette Cassatt, Cartier Williams, Adrienne King, Caroline Williams and Amy Steel
