Exclusive DVD/Blu Art: “EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE (2013)”

EmbraceVampFeat

Where were you when you felt the EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE? I’m guessing a 2 a.m. premium cable haze. The mid-90s erotic horror masterpiece—at least to one generation—has been re-envisioned for another, and both come to Blu-ray this fall to compare and contrast. Will the 2013 iteration come close to Anne Goursaud’s vixen-ization of Alyssa Milano?

In the brand new EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE, Sharon Hinnendael (Rites of Passage, “Look”) stars as Charlotte, a timid and sheltered teen who has just left an all-girls Catholic school for a new life at a co-ed university. But an ancient evil has followed her here, tormenting her with disturbing nightmares and tempting her with forbidden desires. It is a hunger that can only be satiated by sensual pleasures of the flesh…and a thirst for blood. It’s a battle for her soul… and one she’s losing. But Charlotte is a fighter. The chaos and torment threatens to unleash her own inner beast, and anyone even close to her may find themselves embracing their own horrific fate.

Both versions of EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE hit DVD and Blu-ray from Anchor Bay this October 15, and you can see the first look at the cover art for 2013’s, as well as the Blu box for ’95, below.
