Exclusive Comments, BTS Pics: Rebekah McKendry’s first feature “ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING”!Movies/TV,News Ken W. Hanley
Over the summer, Rebekah McKendry bid FANGORIA ado after several years of serving the magazine as writer, head of sales/marketing and overall voice of the publication. McKendry has been one of FANGO’s most versatile personalities before taking the reigns of Blumhouse.com, moderating panels at conventions, co-hosting KILLER POV and dishing out her own scary short films in her free time. And in the latter category, McKendry has stepped up to the big leagues as Variety has announced that she is co-directing her first feature film with her husband David!
Starring Constance Wu (SOUND OF MY VOICE), Jonathan Kite (2 BROKE GIRLS), Amanda Fuller (STARRY EYES), Brea Grant (HALLOWEEN II), Graham Skipper (ALMOST HUMAN), Stephanie Drake (MAD MEN), Peter Cilella (RESOLUTION) and Archie Hahn (PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE) star in ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING, a Christmas-themed horror comedy penned by the McKendrys. Production began recently in Los Angeles, with producers Joe Wicker and Morgan Peter Brown of FallBack Plan Productions behind the film alongside Evil Squared. The film follows “a Christmas Eve marked by encounters with monsters and misfortunes.”
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Rebekah and Dave on their feature debut,” said Brown in an exclusive statement to FANGORIA. “They’re a creative force to be reckoned with and you can feel their knowledge and love of the horror genre throughout their work.”
Speaking on behalf of the FANGO family, we all wish Bekah the best of luck in this endeavor and we’re confident that with her sense of humor and sometimes disconcerting love of exploitation horror, ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING will be a creepshow unlike that which we’ve seen before. You can check out a pair of exclusive behind-the-scenes stills from ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING below. Stay tuned for more information on the fright flick as it becomes available here at FANGORIA.com!
