Exclusive clip: A camping trip goes very bad in “CUB”News Michael Gingold
Coming to U.S. Blu-ray and DVD next month and opening in the UK and Ireland today, the Belgian shocker CUB offers a truly unsettling terror-in-the-woods experience. Get a taste of it from an exclusive clip after the jump.
Directed by Jonas Govaerts, the festival favorite (and award-winner) will arrive on disc August 18 from Artsploitation Films. According to the official synopsis, “The story follows 12-year-old outcast Sam who, along with his troop of cub scouts and their teenage supervisors, camp in woods rumored to house a mysterious and deadly werewolf. Inquisitive Sam, certain the woods are inhibited by something evil, soon stumbles upon a feral young boy and, eventually, his evil psychopathic mentor. But convincing the others of the danger falls on deaf ears, and soon ingenious traps begin to take their violent toll on the group.”
Bonus materials include deleted scenes, an FX reel, trailers and (on the Blu-ray only) a short film and music video. If you’re one of the first 500 to order one of the discs directly from Artsploitation’s website, you’ll get a free merit badge (see pic below the clip). Read our review of CUB here.
