Exclusive audio preview: “DEMONS” soundtrack remixes by ohGr and Chris Alexander; win CDs

Italy’s Rustblade Records have gone the distance for fans of Lamberto Bava’s immortal 1985 bloodbath DEMONS by releasing 30th-anniversary remastered editions of composer Claudio Simonetti’s blistering score on CD and vinyl. But serious enthusiasts will want to pick up Rustblade’s DEMONS Limited Tin Box (499 copies released), which contains the soundtrack plus previously unreleased songs and two video clips!

The set also includes a bonus Soundtrack Remixed CD, featuring remixes by ohGr, Bahntier, Leather Strip, Fango editor/musician Chris Alexander and many others, plus a transparent postcard, “Metropol” ticket, bag and collector’s button.

Below you can sample exclusive previews of two of those remixes: ohGr’s blistering rethink of “Demon,” the film’s iconic main theme, and Alexander’s deconstruction of the eerie track “Killing.” And we have three copies of the standard-edition DEMONS soundtrack CD to give away. For a chance to win one, e-mail chris@fangoria.com with the words “Instruments of Evil” in the subject line. Winners will be chosen at random.
