Exclusive art/details: “THE LIVING CORPSE” on Blu-ray/DVD

Zombies go CG-animated in THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF THE LIVING CORPSE, the feature adaptation of Ken Haeser and Buz Hasson’s Dynamite Publishing comic series. We’ve got the exclusive info on the disc release and a first look at the cover art!

Directed by Justin Paul Ritter, whose live-action movie credits include KATIEBIRD*CERTIFIABLE CRAZY PERSON and A GOTHIC TALE, from a script he wrote with Ryan Plato, LIVING CORPSE arrives on DVD and Blu-ray June 18 from Anchor Bay Entertainment. The synopsis: “A creature of the underworld, lurking in catacombs and tunnels, the Living Corpse wears his heart on his molding sleeve. He is not a typical hero—he is a zombie. He is not a typical zombie—he has a soul. His mission is to protect the Earth from other flesheaters—to keep them in their graves and to keep the powers of wickedness from corrupting our world. Watch this unlikely champion as he conquers his enemies from across the globe…as he battles the dominions of evil!”

The movie will be presented in 16×9-enhanced 1.78:1 widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio on the Blu-ray; the DVD includes a DVD-ROM of THE LIVING CORPSE: HAUNTED comic. Retail prices are $19.99 for the DVD, $24.99 for the Blu-ray.

    I bought this movie on Blu-ray and really thought it was a lot of fun. I liked the zombie super hero concept and thought the characters were very original. I wouldn’t be surprised if it became a cult classic.
