Exclusive Announcement: Aurelio Voltaire joins “DEVIL’S CARNIVAL” follow-up “AMERICAN MURDER SONG”!

Going back to the days of FANGORIA Radio, Goth personality and horror fiend Aurelio Voltaire has been a friend to all things FANGO! From his appearances in fright flicks to his massively successful conventions to his acclaimed records, Voltaire’s twisted sensibility has reached a massive audience over the years. Now, that audience looks to grow even bigger as FANGORIA is excited to announce that the artist will be joining AMERICAN MURDER SONG, the latest endeavor from THE DEVIL’S CARNIVAL masterminds Terrance Zdunich and Saar Hendelman!

In the petrifying musical project, Voltaire plays Unwed Henry, who is described as “handsome, but beneath the facade is a loathsome and unkempt soul. He’s a sweet-talking, violent drunk, who marries for love, simmers with disappointment, kills with rage, then comes back for a drink, looking for sweet love once again.” You can check out the first look at Voltaire as Unwed Henry in the preview clip below…

For those unfamiliar, AMERICAN MURDER SONG features a number of macabre, original murder ballads, all of which are set in 19th Century America. Voltaire joins the previously announced Sara “Chibi” Taylor of The Birthday Massacre in AMERICAN MURDER SONG, with more cast members to be announced in the coming weeks. AMERICAN MURDER SONG’s first EP, I. DAWN (produced by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Scotty Morris), is now available HERE, and fans can catch AMERICAN MURDER SONG on tour this fall as well.

You can currently follow AMERICAN MURDER SONG at their official website, Facebook and Twitter, and you can also hear an I. DAWN medley HERE. Stay tuned for more on AMERICAN MURDER SONG here at FANGORIA.com!
