Elisabeth Moss to star in Psychological Thriller, “QUEEN OF EARTH”

MAD MEN’s Elisabeth Moss, who’s currently starring in the fantastic-tinged THE ONE I LOVE, and is in production on Ben Wheatley’s highly anticipated J.G. Ballard adaptation HIGH-RISE can’t seem to keep away from genre. That’s great news. The actress, who most recently came aboard Bryan Bertino’s THERE ARE MONSTERS has now reteamed with director Alex Ross Perry (their LISTEN UP PHILLIP is forthcoming) for psychological thriller QUEEN OF EARTH.

THR reports QUEEN OF EARTH is inspired by ROSEMARY’S BABY and REPULSION (honestly, what isn’t), and “centers on two women who retreat to a beach house to get a break from the pressures of the outside world, only to realize how disconnected from each other they have become, allowing their suspicions to bleed into reality.”

Indie filmmaker Joe Swanberg (HANNAH TAKES THE STAIRS, V/H/S) is producing. No details on when the beach house psychotic break film is expected.
