Abel Ferrara’s female vigilante returns to shoot up theaters as his quintessential New York shocker MS. 45 returns via Drafthouse Films, which has unveiled a new poster for the reissue and a specific debut date.
MS. 45 will hit select cities Friday, December 13 and roll out into additional markets through early 2014. These bookings will include Los Angeles, New York, Austin, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Houston, San Francisco and Seattle, and will be followed by DVD, Blu-ray and VOD/digital release (the movie’s first time ever uncut on North American video) next March. Originally released in 1981, MS. 45 stars Zoe Tamerlis (a.k.a. Zoe Lund) as a mute young garment-district worker who, after being raped twice in the same day, sets out to blow away male New York scum. See the movie’s page (where you can order a copy of the poster) at the Drafthouse website here, and check out the trailer below the art.
