Don’t Get Cross with The First “THE CONJURING 2” TrailerMovies/TV,News Ken W. Hanley
Very few films can given the somewhat oxymoronic title of “contemporary classic,” but James Wan’s THE CONJURING has undoubtedly earned it. A worldwide sensation that debuted to commercial and critical acclaim in the summer of 2013, THE CONJURING ensured James Wan’s position as a bona fide master of horror and a Hollywood power player. But even as it seemed Wan would move on from horror for the time being, the filmmaker has returned to the case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren for THE CONJURING 2: THE ENFIELD POLTERGIEST, and now, we have our first look at the highly anticipated horror sequel.
For those unfamiliar, here’s the official synopsis for THE CONJURING 2…
“Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) travel to 1977 England to help single mom Peggy Hodgson and her four children, particularly daughter Janet (played by Madison Wolfe).”
Starring a returning Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as well as Franka Potente, Simon McBurney and Frances O’Connor, THE CONJURING 2: THE ENFIELD POLTERGEIST was written by CONJURING writers Chad & Carey Hayes as well as Wan and David Leslie Johnson. New Line Cinema will be releasing the film on June 10th, 2016; stay tuned for more on THE CONJURING as it becomes available here at FANGORIA.com!
