“DEAD SNOW: RED VS. DEAD” Teaser Has A Great PunchlineNews Samuel Zimmerman 1 Comment
The 2014 Sundance Film Festival is just over two weeks away and within its absolutely genre-packed lineup is the sequel to 2009 Nazi zombie favorite DEAD SNOW. That homage to all things splatter filled and Raimi-esque won a lot of grue-loving audiences over, and they’ll be pleased with the brief bit of new footage—much of this DEAD SNOW: RED VS. DEAD teaser is a lot of recap to set up one, delightful joke—offered here.
DEAD SNOW: RED VS. DEAD is officially described in the Sundance guide as follows: If the worst day of your life consisted of accidentally killing your girlfriend with an axe, chain-sawing your own arm off, and watching in horror as your closest friends were devoured by a zombified Nazi battalion, you’d have to assume that things couldn’t get much worse. In Martin’s case, that was only the beginning.
What’s undeniably exciting is the addition of FREAKS & GEEKS and PARTY DOWN standout Martin Starr (pictured, above) to the cast. We’ll find out just what he and director Tommy Wirkola are up to when DEAD SNOW: RED VS. DEAD premieres on January 19 in Park City. FANGORIA will be on hand, so keep an eye out for reviews of this and much more.
